We deliver directly from the vessels to wholesaler and retail outlets throughout the South East Region of Australia. This placement opportunity is located at their Lakes Entrance maintenance facility.

Skills You Might Learn

You will gain an insight into the fishing industry, you will gain an appreciation and understanding of what it takes to maintain industry equipment as well as following instructions, team work and general communication skills required.

Typical Tasks & Duties

While on placement students will be involved in maintenance schedules for heavy diesel motors used in fishing vessels. YOu will be encouraged to help with diagnosing problems, finding solutions and assisting with repairs and maintenance.

Student Requirements

You would be expected to have a desire to explore and have interest in the mechanical and engineering maintenance and repair industries

Workshop clothing and safety boots
