Skills You Might Learn

The student will have the opportunity to assist with mechanical and road worthiness inspections and receive on the job training. Instruction in the use of workshop equipment will be provided.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles in the on site workshop. You will iwork alongside professionally qualified staff. You will also be expected to observe all safety directions and help maintain a safe working environment

Student Requirements

Student will have a strong interest in the auto industry. The student will also have a strong customer service orientation, be polite, helpful and a good listener at all times.
Preference to students enrolled in or have completed Cert II Automotive

Dress Requirements

Workshop clothing required - work boots, long pants and sleeves. No loose items such as hair or jewellry.

Special Transport Requirements

Student to provide own transport to work l
