Education Support Worker/Teacher’s Aide:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a student to gain structured workplace learning as an integration aide /education Support worker will be working alongside a supportive team of teachers.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be required to assist teaching staff to create, set-up, run and pack-up classroom activities. You will provide support to students under teacher supervision while practicing and embracing the school's values. You may be required to supervise students outside of the classroom on the playground, during bathroom breaks, at lunch time and on field trips. You will also be required to undertake general administration duties.

The student should have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

The student is not to use their mobile phone during work time. The student should discuss the workplace phone policy with their supervisor.

Where a student is undertaking Structured Workplace Learning as part of a VETDSS program within an Accredited Course of Study, the student must be undertaking OHS Training relevant to the workplace where the student will be engaged.

Where a student is undertaking Structured Workplace Learning as part of a non-VETDSS program within an Accredited Course of Study, the student must have completed an OHS program required by the Department (safe@work, or A Job Well Done, or Work-Related Skills Unit 1) prior to commencing placement.

Dress Requirements

Clothes: Neat, professional clothes to be worn (i.e. as if you were going to work.)
Covered in shoes
Denim, leggings, torn clothing and inappropriate slogans, etc are not acceptable.

KMART Mildura is a supplier of appropriate business and administration worksite clothing.

Special Transport Requirements

Public Transport is limited, students to check bus transport availability and or speak to parents/carer to organise transport prior to contacting employer.
