If you have a passion for caring for dogs and cats, the Nathalia Boarding Kennels can provide an SWL placement that will have you, handling, feeding, bathing, playing and moving dogs around yards. Beware though, with all jobs there is always some tasks that need to be done, that just aren't as fun as the rest. Yes, there will be pooper scooping involved!! With over 28 carefully monitored yards, for the care and safety of our guests, this is an never ending job.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Typical tasks and duties will include;
- waking dogs up in the morning and transferring them to their play yards
- socialising with dogs and cats
- preparing food
- cleaning up pens, dishes and blankets
- bathing and drying animals
- cleaning up yards as needed
- Communicating with clients as they drop off and pick up pets

Student Requirements

Would prefer students to do a week block of placement before commencing a one day a week placement
Please ensure you are willing to be on your feet all day and comfortable with cleaning cages and yards of animals feaces

Dress Requirements

Comfortable neat clothing, that doesn't matter if you get dirty. Closed in shoes are required. In winter a rain coat would be a good option. PPE requirements will be supplied where required.
