An opportunity exists with Seymour Coaches for a student interested in gaining work placement as a motor mechanic (heavy vehicles). Seymour Coaches/Mitchell Transit provides the complete range of bus related services to communities in the Mitchell Shire. The successful student will work alongside senior mechanics and gain a vast range of exposure to the trade.

- practical hands on skills

- customer service
- industry knowledge

Typical Tasks & Duties

Under the supervision of a senior mechanic students will typically:
- Service vehicles
- Undertake preventative maintenance
- Repairs
- Gain and understanding of and complete compliance documentation
- Cleaning of vehicles
- Other duties as directed

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in mechanics and or a willingness to learn
Hardworking with a can do attitude
Willing to take on duties as directed

Dress Requirements

Heavy duty footwear required

Special Transport Requirements

The student needs to be able to travel to the host location
