Students may also attain vital industry specific skills which will relate to their studies such as:
- Hands-on practical experience using exercise equipment with clients
- Observing and learning from industry qualified and experienced professionals
- Working in real-life scenarios and environments, including class based training and PT’s
- Working with tools and equipment necessary to the occupation and business
- Liaising and working with colleagues, bosses, customers/clients and suppliers.

Typical Tasks & Duties

On placement the student will be required to perform the following tasks but not limited to, meeting and greeting of clients, assisting clients with the use of exercise equipment with the guidance of a qualified instructor, assisting with group based training and cleaning of equipment.

Student Requirements

Fernwood fitness operates as an all-female gym, staff included. The student must also be currently studying or recently completed their certificate III in sport and recreation.

Dress Requirements

Students will be required to wear plain black sports clothing with sneakers.
