A fantastic opportunity exists for a keen student to gain experience within bustling highly renowned bakery.
This bakery operates 7 days a week and specialises in croissants, pastries, cakes, pies, creative and decorative slices, sweet treats and coffee.
This position focuses mainly on the pastry and bakery aspect of the business however the successful student will gain knowledge in customer service areas and front of house duties if desired. Barrista experience could also be included.
This STRUCTURED WORKPLACE LEARNING (SWL) PLACEMENT is available for a one-week block for term 1 and 2, 2023. Dates can be negotiated directly.
Skills You Might Learn
Assisting the bakers with weighing, mixing and baking of ingredients - Decorating cakes and slices - Input on new ideas and flavours of bakery items. - General cleaning duties - Stock control and ordering - OH&S
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students tasks may include decorating biscuits, preparation of materials for chefs, weighing ingredients, icing biscuits, assisting with bread and quiche making. Some cleaning and washing of dishes is required. Packing of finished products. Also may run through front of house procedures.
Student Requirements
Student is required to - Commence at agreed time - Wear closed toe shoes - Have clean all black clothing (pants and shirt) - Facial piercings may need to be covered due to OH&S policies
Dress Requirements
Black pants and white t shirts and white appron.

Walking distance from the Castlemaine train station
