Suffoir Winery

Suffoir is a working farm, housing a micro-winery, -brewery, -cidery, -distillery and our cellar door. Our artisanal wine, craft beer, gin, and cider are sustainably produced, with a focus on holistic living. Everything is driven by the philosophy of producing high-quality products, honouring our heritage, and ensuring that ingenuity perpetually flows from our soils and cellar door straight into the heart of our products.
Suffoir hosts the popular “Music in the Vines” event each year .
Michelle and Pieter are keen to provide an opportunity in Event Management to give knowledge and awareness of the Career Pathways available in our region.

Skills You Might Learn

You will gain skills in Communications and Event Management with an insight to the tourism industry.
You will gain skills of working independently in a small family run business gaining employability skills that can follow you anywhere.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Your tasks may include:
• Social Media and Website support
• Marketing, designing posters etc
• A place on the planning committee
• Assist with Program Development
• Attendance on the day of the event to support, ticketing/greeting/support role to Artists/catering support

Student Requirements

You must have a genuine interest in in Event Services and pocess good IT skills. You will have opportunity to join the planning committee for the “Music in the Vines” event which is scheduled to be held on Saturday 5/2/2022.
You will need to be adaptable given daily tasks will vary as weather and season will determine the priority of tasks at hand in this small family run business.
You must be able to self-motivate and work independently on tasks instructed therefore require good listening and communication skills.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual and tidy presentation.

Special Transport Requirements

Must be able to organise own transport to and from MacArthur. Travel Arrangement form to be signed prior to commencement of placement as travel on the property may be required
