Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will have the opportunity to assist tradespeople who will be involved in various stages of metal fabrication and welding, which will include reading plans and drawing, preparing steel, cutting, welding, grinding and painting. Students will also assist in cleaning the workshop, unloading products, stacking steel and general duties as required.

Student Requirements

A genuine interest in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, rolling, grinding.

Dress Requirements

Student to wear industry appropriate work wear and safety boots.
