Skills You Might Learn

Students completing a placement here have the potential to gain the following skills: basic welding, drilling, grinding, measuring, assembling, installation, use of various machinery and hand tools.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be involved in using different machinery. They may also use hand tools to assist in a job.They will learn how to follow the instructions through basic designs and reading blueprint. Mainly the student will assist other staff in their roles and they will be preforming job duties in the field.

Student Requirements

Students must be willing to learn and undertake manual labour. They should also be enthusiastic, punctual, reliable and safety conscious at all times. Please check with employer regarding any COVID safe practices and immunisation requirements before starting placement.

Dress Requirements

Students can wear safety boots,(if you have them) overalls and bring all your PPE with you.
The Employer will provide you with special gloves.

Local bus services available. You can use Bus 800 to Princess Hwy stop
