This opportunity is for a Building Estimator role and would suit students doing Cert III in Wall and Ceiling Lining, Certs in Building or Construction or students interested in software, technical drawings and estimating for a busy industry.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This experience will introduce students to using construction takeoff software. Students will learn how to take information for Construction Drawings and quote projects for homebuilders. They will be mentored by the project manager and get to meet employees who themselves started as apprentices before working their way up.

Student Requirements

Students need to have an interest in the technical side of building, including the use of software and technology to support the construction process. A good eye for detail and strong literacy/numeracy skills will be an advantage.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual dress is required.
