Skills You Might Learn

Students completing a work experience here have the potential to gain the following skills: Understanding of podiatry, communication, teamwork, customer service, problem-solving, self-management, planning and organisation skills. You will also learn about how sports injuries are treated and how orthotics are fit to their patients.

Typical Tasks & Duties

You will potentially witness advanced podiatry care, including laser wart removal, laser fungal nail treatment, orthotic scans, video gait analysis and diabetes foot assessments. You will be able to shadow and support qualified podiatrists, as well as assist with admin and reception duties.

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in podiatry and customer service, be enthusiastic, patient, show empathy & compassion and have respect for others.

Dress Requirements

Students should dress smart casual, neat and tidy. No hoodies, ripped jeans, etc.
