This is a wonderful opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade with a medium sized company manufacturing a variety of products for commercial fit outs. CFM Cabinet and Furniture Manufacturers have a mostly young workforce making it the perfect place to put your cabinet and furniture making skills to practice. There is potential for apprenticeship for the student who shows commitment and potential.

Skills You Might Learn

All aspects of cabinet making and carcass construction, edging, computer programming and computer drawing.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be involved in all aspects of commercial manufacturing, using computer controlled machinery, spray painting, carcass construction, laminating and edging. All work will be at the Hallam factory.

Student Requirements

Must show a commitment to learn and attend placement as agreed. Students will need to be enthusiastic, willing to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and work consistently. All students must be fully vaccinated and present a COVID -19 certificate.

Dress Requirements

Standard personal safety equipment such as steel capped boots, hearing protection. Fluro tops will be provided.

Special Transport Requirements

All work will be at the factory address - National Drive Hallam, 2.5km from Hallam train station.
