Skills You Might Learn

Students will attain strong skills in:

- Learning about the delivery of profitable sales by maximising key daily/weekly/seasonal events
- Undertstanding and implementing style guides and effectively applying product knowledge to VM decisions and designs
- Building product knowledge in product areas through a variety of channels (eg fashion magazines, blogs, social networking and competitor activity)

Typical Tasks & Duties

Some of the tasks and duties a student may undertake include:

- Executing in-store visual merchandising in order to deliver wonderful customer experiences
- Maintenance of visual merchandise materials and daily housekeeping duties as required
- Preparing store for sale set up
- Working alongside friendly VM team

Student Requirements

Students are required to complete a separate online MYER application process for the placements, which will also cover all the necessary work safety information. This must be completed prior to starting the placement. Please ask for the application form when speaking to employer.

Students are not expected know particular skills, but will need to be:
- Keen
-Willing to learn
-Ready to develop their skills
- Punctual
- Maintain positive attitude at all times

Dress Requirements

Students must wear black closed toe and closed heel shoes. No branded clothing, no leggings and hoodies.

Special Transport Requirements

Walking distance from railway station and bus route.
