This is a great opportunity for a student to gain valuable on-the-job experience in the hospitality industry and learn many aspects of food preparation, customer service and the making of good coffee.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will have the opportunity to build on their communication skills, customer service skills, OH&S knowledge, team work, along with food hygiene and kitchen operations knowledge while working in a busy environment. Students may also have the opportunity to learn how to make a good coffee and become an accomplished Barista.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will become familiar with all aspects of the day to day running of a busy cafe. This includes the preparation of food and beverages, waiting tables, maintaining clean work spaces and learning how to serve customers. To be successfully considered for this position a student must have a keen interest in hospitality, have a neat appearance and work as part of a team.
Student Requirements
Students are asked to come on time with an enthusiastic attitude, neat appearance and a willingness to learn.
Dress Requirements
Neat casual, with closed toe shoes.
Special Transport Requirements
Accessible via public transport.
