Typical Tasks & Duties
Student will experience and gain knowledge in the Horticulture industry which include:
Active participation in work, health and safety processes
Watering
Plant recognition
Treat plant pests, diseases and disorders
Care for nursery plants
Prune shrubs and small trees
General cleaning
Student Requirements
- The student will be encouraged to reflect their workplace experience and how this how this relates to their VET course.
- The student needs to be mobile, with adequate fine motor skills in order to complete certain tasks.
Dress Requirements
Students need to dress appropriately for the weather and for outdoor work. Work boots, long pants or jeans and a high vis. shirt or top are required.

Nillumbik Nursery is a 1 minute walk from the Kamarooka Dr/Main Hurstbridge Rd Bus stop, or a 12 minute walk from Wattle Glen train station.
