Hands-on tasks could involve moving and organizing stock, assisting with showroom displays, and gaining insight into the manual labor involved in the flooring trade. Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist in organizing and maintaining showroom displays
Learn about flooring materials and their manufacturing processes
Observe and assist in basic flooring installation, including surface preparation and laying different types of flooring
Use basic tools for measuring, cutting, and handling flooring materials
Help with stock management, including unpacking and organizing products
Shadow staff to understand customer service and sales processes
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace

Student Requirements

Students will be required to do some manual labour including lifting. Students should be enthusiastic to learn about the trade and committed to coming to their placement each week.

Must have own safety boots and high vis
