Typical Tasks & Duties
Assisting with basic installations (e.g. power points, light switches)

Carrying tools and materials to and from the work area
Learning how to measure, cut, and run cables under supervision
Watching testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
Helping with site clean-up and tool maintenance
Shadowing electricians on routine service calls

Interest in electrical work or trade-based careers
Willingness to follow strict safety procedures
Physical ability to handle tools and work on-site
Parental/guardian permission and school approval
Dress Requirements
High visibility vest or shirt
Steel-capped boots
Long pants and long-sleeve shirt
Safety glasses and hard hat (provided by host or school if required)
No loose clothing or jewellery
Special Transport Requirements
Students must arrange their own reliable transport to and from the worksite
Locations may vary throughout the week depending on the job
Public transport may not always be available, so a parent/guardian plan is recommended
