Skills You Might Learn
Students will apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials. They will use hand tools to assist in a job. Measurement and calculating engineering materials will be learnt as well. Students will only undertake these tasks while being supervised.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials. They will assist with tidying the workplace. Mainly the student will assist other staff in their roles.
Student Requirements
Students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Dress must be neat casual suited to the workplace and this includes sturdy steel capped work boots. All other safety gear is provided by the employer.
Special Transport Requirements
Students make their own way to work as there is no public transport.
