This well established hotel enjoys a busy lunch and dinner bistro trade. This well-known and respected restaurant in Rochester is offering SWL opportunities in its kitchen. Students enrolled in Certificate II in Hospitality will gain the opportunity to work in a busy and demanding environment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students are required to demonstrate a cheerful outlook towards hospitality and customer service. Students are encouraged to consider a SWL placement to develop skills learned from their VET or VCAL subject in Hospitality and/or Business Services.
Students will be responsible for the following tasks:
Assisting trained staff with hospitality related activities.
Engaging with customers related to hospitality activities as advised by trained staff.
Completing all related tasks as assigned by assisting trained staff.

Student Requirements

Students will assist trained staff in performing duties, students receiving high level supervision. Students with a positive attitude towards Hospitality: Front of House and Kitchen Operations, with a keen eye for detail and are self-motivated, have a consistent and good work ethic, willing to listen and follow instructions. Students are encouraged to consider a SWL placement to develop skills learned from their VET or VCAL subject in Hospitality.

Dress Requirements

Please discuss uniform requirements with the employer at the preplacement interview. Students will be expected to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the workplace, sturdy closed in toe and heal shoes are essential.

Special Transport Requirements

The student will be required to arrange their own transport.
