It sells an extensive range of farm related goods while offering agronomy and real estate services to farmers as well. The company has been involved with SWL previously and is keen to continue to do so. Students can elect to focus on retail, business administration, agronomy and possibly livestock. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic student keen to learn about the agricultural field.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This position will include duties such as helping manage merchandising stock by working with other employees to assist them in their roles. Student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices whatever aspect of the placement they specialise in.Students will learn product knowledge and may possibly interact with customers while under supervision. They will learn to work as part of a team while helping to maintain work areas. Some skills will be determined by which area of the enterprise students select for their placement.

Student Requirements

The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VM or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students may need to organise their own transport to work. There is a bus service in Swan Hill though.
