SRS have a fantastic opportunity for students commence their career in the disability industry administration role this will develop their communication, computer and organisation skills within a disability organisation! This professional office environment will give experience in many aspects of a disability business administration role whilst making a contribution to the day-to-day operation of the organisation.

The student may also attain vital industry specific skills which will relate to their secondary school studies they include:

• Observing and learning from industry qualified and experienced professionals.
• Working in real-life scenarios.
• Working with tools and equipment necessary to the occupation.
• Liaising and working with supervisors, colleagues, industry personnel, customers/clients.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will gain hands-on experience across aspects of the organisation.
This SBAT will provide you with a range of opportunities to develop your administration skills while working alongside experienced disability industry professionals.

Student Requirements

Whilst the students are attending their SBAT they are expected to:
Dress appropriately
Maintain interest and participate in work duties
Be punctual
Follow management instructions
Act in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
Work within the team
Listen and take advice from fellow workers
Keep a note pad and pen handy to take notes for their own reference
Take their Log Book to the work placement every day.

Student are to complete the online application on the SRS website

Dress Requirements

Neat casual business atire is required and closed footwear must be worn. Please do not wear clothing which others may find offensive.

Special Transport Requirements

Students to check bus transport availability and or speak to parents/carer to organise transport prior to contacting employer.
