Skills You Might Learn

Learning from highly trained and experienced professionals’ students will gain valuable experiences and insights related to the automotive industry that will help develop and refine their skills and broaden their knowledge. This is also a great opportunity to gain employability skills such as teamwork, communication, initiative and problem solving.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will have the opportunity to observe and assist highly experienced service technicians. Each experience will vary depending on a student's areas of interest, training and ability. Some of the duties may include use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment, application of safe work practices, observation of basic vehicle servicing operations. This is a busy employer offering genuine opportunities for young people to try out the industry and to progress and grow.

Student Requirements

• The requirement to fit in and work in a team environment
• Must be mechanically minded and have a passion for the automotive industry
• Be enthusiastic, keen to learn and be punctual
• Must be able to work hard and maintain attention to detail

Dress Requirements

Practical comfortable clothing appropriate for the workplace and sturdy closed shoes/work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Local bus service located nearby with a short walk.
