Successful Window and Door Aluminium Manufacturer that has been operating for over 30 years is providing a great opportunity to a Year 11 and 12 student that is interested in pursuing a career in Engineering, Fabrication and Design.

Skills You Might Learn

Knowledge in using hand tools and power tools, measuring and calculating, thermal cutting, project design, welding and safety in the workplace. Applying principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment. Learn to work with others in a manufacturing / engineering related environment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assisting to make windows and doors. Using hand tools to assist in a job, and perform manual production assembly. Apply basic fabrication techniques. Using computers for engineering work activities, and static and manual tools. Measuring a job with graduated devices and perform basic calculations.

There are also opportunities for students are interested in design to assist the employer with various projects in designing of doors. Please speak with employer for this opportunity.

Student Requirements

Must be eager and interested in learning and developing new skills. Must be pro-active and enjoy problem solving. The student must be reliable and punctual.
