An exciting opportunity to experience first-hand a fast-paced cafe business in Highpoint. You will be given an opportunity to work with a team of staff supporting a wide customer base and applying your food and beverage skills in the workplace.
Skills You Might Learn
This opportunity will allow you to apply your hospitality skills in the workplace, to help develop good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team front of house. Working at this cafe will also develop the student’s confidence in customer service skills and following instructions and basic money handling skills/ work with a register.
Typical Tasks & Duties
You will assist with front of house operations, greeting and supporting customers as well as the possibility of supporting in the kitchen food preparation area. Helping to maintain the cleanliness of the store and set up of the café as required. Completing some cleaning and washing duties, working with the register and carrying out some basic mathematical skills when providing change for the customers will be part of the role.
Student Requirements
You will need to be punctual, have a positive attitude, be able to listen and take direction and show initiative and be honest.
Dress Requirements
Covered in shoes, and comfortable and colourful clothing. No trackpants
Special Transport Requirements
Tram and bus access to center.
